'Pale blue dots'

In KBS1's documentary, which is broadcast on the 10th, the New Year's program, Space, Earth, and Me-Part 2, Pale Blue Dots, is on the air.

■ “Voyager,” the probe on a great journey into space

Humanity has constantly ventured from past to present.

This adventurous spirit formed civilization, discovered the new continent, and even pioneered the world beyond the earth.

The astronomical observations and curiosity of the universe, which have been around since ancient times, have eventually left the moon outside the earth, preparing for further travels.

The protagonist Voyager, who has been navigating the universe for more than 40 years and expanding humanity, is the main character.

1977 is a year of opportunity for four of the eight planets in the solar system to be in line, exploring four planets in the least amount of time.

At this moment, every 176 years, the two Voyagers traveled into space and conquered Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune that no one has ever been to.

Everything Voyager saw was a new history to be recorded in astronauts, and it engulfed many people into the mysteries of the universe.

In Space, Earth, and Me, we take a moment back to join the great journey of Voyager, a new era in space exploration.

■ The earth is nothing but a pale blue dot and we

The existence of only us in the universe is stochastic.

People thought of the possibility that this tiny probe, which would endlessly travel the universe, would encounter another life outside of Earth, and recorded in Golden Records the photographs and sounds of the earth, the knowledge and music of mankind, and the greetings to outer space in the Golden Voyager.

.

The universe is so great that we do not yet know the end.

And there was a picture that reminded me of this again.

Voyager 1, heading toward the end of the solar system, 5.9 billion km from Earth, turned the lens and took a picture.

One small blue dot of 640,000 pixels, the earth as seen from the end of the solar system.

The pictures show no beautiful mountains, seas or clouds on Earth, nor large or small conflicts on Earth.

The photo was named “Pale Blue Dots,” and people were freshly aware of the existence of “I” in these tiny dots.

For mankind, change is like a fate and it has reached its present endlessly.

So what happened in this pale blue dot during the time Voyager traveled through space?

War and climate change, new cultures and industries.

In the last 40 years of Voyager's trip to the interstellar space Interstellar, we look back at the Earth and consider the meaning of “I” in space.
